People pillar

With more than 30 000 employees across the globe, our people set Bidcorp apart.

This year our global headcount exceeded 30 000 for the first time — a reflection of the group's sustained growth over three decades. Our people are the driving force behind our strategy. It is their skills, dedication, and energy that create the value we bring to our customers and partners every day.

We are committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment in which employee wellness is prioritised through robust health and safety standards, access to support programmes, and initiatives that promote mental and physical wellbeing. By supporting and empowering our teams, we are building a motivated, agile workforce — always ready to achieve our strategic ambitions.

Health and Safety Safety first, second, and third

Protecting health and safety is essential to both our sustainability goals and the way we operate every day. We place health and safety at the heart of our sustainability strategy and our drive towards operational excellence.

Our lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) improved from 3,4 in F2024 to 3,2 in F2025, reflecting our ongoing journey towards zero harm. Each operation monitors and reports its own LTIFR, including details on injuries that result in individuals staying away from work for more than 24 hours.

Bidfood Netherlands performed a risk assessment for physical strain using an occupational therapist — undertaken to protect employee wellbeing and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Bidfood UK has developed a health and wellbeing strategy built on four pillars: Physical (ergonomic improvements, health screenings, physiotherapy); Financial (debt management, financial planning tools); Mental (employee assistance programmes, mental health apps); and Social (volunteering, sporting events, work socials).

Diversity and Inclusion Strength in diversity

Bidcorp places a premium on diversity and strives to provide an inclusive environment in which all people feel valued regardless of their race, gender, identity, or disabilities. Women make up 26% of our overall workforce and 25% of top management — reflecting our belief in the value of diverse leadership.

Our board has set a target of 30% female representation across the group and all roles. An aspirational target of 50% female representation at board level has been established and achieved. Bidfood UK's annual gender pay gap report shows a mean gap of −4,29%, meaning women are paid more than men on average in those operations.

Our European companies are preparing to report gender pay gaps in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and CSRD. Bidfood Belgium was the main sponsor of the Lady Chef of the Year contest in October 2024, demonstrating continued support for the advancement of women in the foodservice industry. Bidfood New Zealand actively supported female truck drivers in transitioning to delivery roles.
